Computing

Computers have been a central part of my work since I entered the publishing industry in 1987. I've used them to lay out and proof magazine pages, I've worked on a range of computing magazines as a writer and ove the years I've written countless productivity tutorials, articles and news stories for computing magazines. Computers are my parallel career alongside digital photography.

I specialise in all kinds of productivity software, both on the Mac and the PC, and including Microsoft Office, Apple iWork and a host of everyday utilities designed to make your life easier and more productive. I write for ordinary end users rather than corporate office workers, and I focus on what works on a practical level rather than what just sounds good on paper.

As well as my magazine work, I've written a number of books on computing, and my latest, Teach Yourself Basic Mac Skills, is about to be published in its second edition.
